An ARC, or Advanced Reader Copy, is a nearly ready to publish book that has gone through the major editing processes. These copies may be completely finished, or are going through final polishing before being published.

An ARC reader is a person who is given the opportunity to read an unpublished book (ARC) early and at no cost, in exchange for an honest review. Some people are also asked to join an author’s ARC team (which means more free books!).
